the princess stands at the gate today.

an important door that will open

although she is nervous, and a bit fearful,
she doesn’t show it
she still has the beauty and grace that has always been
the light shining from her still radiates peace and love for all around

she is still the only ‘human’ that I know, and she wears that badge with pride.
no one can compare to her, no one even attempts too.

the energy she gives off is felt for miles around
the smile she has infects everyone she sees.

she is not beauty or grace, they are her.

what we had is like a mirror.
and now it is shattered beyond repair.

I’ve come to the realisation that every time you talk to me causes you pain.
It saddens me that you still think of me as your enemy, but right now you have bigger problems to deal with.

the river

a river is so powerful and strong
there is nothing else quite like it
rocks may come into it’s path and divert it
but the power of it’s waters will not be held
they will find ways around it
and slowly the river will wear the rock down
until it is no longer
and the water runs free again

but it draws it’s power from the mountains
and trusts that they will feed it the water it needs
for without the trust, it will slowly stagnate and starve, but never die

even though droughts come and go, and the river is weakened
it knows that someday it will return to it’s full power

as it can never be fully broken
and once the rains come, the silt and the boulders that have gathered will be swept away
so the river will flow again once more
